I have very smal mounds in my lawn,maybe 1 1/2 inches tall with little hard ( dropeings for lack of better word) that makes a mound and I have hundreds all in my yard, I have been told they are eaing earth worms?? small mound for such a large worm haha, any ideas anyone ?? thanks

Could be mole crickets, too. Try a subsurface insecticide such as Dylox or Merit. I would probably send in some pictures to your extension service or something first.
