Its not too late, but you gotta do it soon! Choose an improved seeded bermuda, but stay away from some of the early types that are still being sold. These types were put on the market too soon (before the breeders had a chance to fix some of the flaws) to satisfy greedy seed companies. ‘Sonesta’ ‘Nu mex Sahara’ and ‘Primavera’ are some of the crappy types still being sold. These types are more suited for pasture grass…..not lawns!

I know this is a late post, but here is some info anyway. In my own yard, I have 3 strains of Bermuda.419, Princess 77, and Sahara. The 419 is wonderful, but can only be purchased as sod.Princess 77 is a tough, aggressive grass with a deep green color, but takes 14-20 days to germinate. Mow @ .75 to 1.25″ or it looks leggy.Sahara was a pleasant surprise. It germinated in 5-8 days, has good color, and wears very well vs my Boxer! It is very affordable as well.
I almost forgot Do Not over water. Floratan /Seville all strains of St. Augustine are suseptible to fungus from over…
I am from the north and it has taken me five yrs to learn and undertand seville lawns. No 1…
