grass identification

I planted a soccer field in Bermuda three summers ago. It did well the first summer and the next spring did fairly well too. The next winter I overseeded with winter rye as I live in Tennessee and that seemed to do fairly well. The next summer it didn’t seem to do as well and this summer there is good turf but the Bermuda seems to have been replaced for the most part by a much rougher grass. I don’t know how to identify the grass and if there is any way to get the grass back to Common Bermuda. If you have a hint let me know.

There are sites on the internet that will help you identify grass. I don’t happen to have any handy right now, but I’ve visited a few in my past. Usually they are agricultural universities.
