Hello all, I am new to this forum so please bear with me. I am currently serving in the U.S. Army as a Special Forces Operations Officer. (I have been in every conflict since Grenada),I will be retiring soon and am extremely interested in a career as a Golf Course Superintendant. I should be relocating to the Tampa area this summer. I hold a B.S. Degree in Management and Foreign Language (fluent Spanish). What other advanced schooling should I pursue to give me a leg up on landing this type of position. I am more than willing to do my time as an assistant. By the way I am 41 years old an in excellent athletic condition. Thank you in advance for any help.

I retired in 95 from 82nd. Worked several rut jobs. Got layed off from a factory and a buddy and I opened our own business and an’t looked back since.

I’m not sure what degree you will need, but you will be able to find out. I went to horticulture college to better understand the green industry. It has helped me land alot of business.

Something to think about is starting your own business. As an old Infantrymen I love to be out doors. the work is awesome and the rewards are good.
