After some strong spring rain, blades of my centipede lawn are turning red. Is this something I should worry about? If so, what should I do?
Thanks.

Sounds like Anthracnose. Take a look at this University of Florida publication and see if it helps. http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/LH064

Where do you live, and have you had some cold weather lately? Could be many things. You may want to take of have taken a soil sample. Some kinds of grass will do this if burned by chemical application. . .some with salt intrusion. . .some with pH problems.
Good luck,
Scott

I live in inland South Carolina, zone 7. The ph is 6.0-6.5 and the soil is nutrient poor. I put pre-emergent fertilizer down but the grass didn’t turn red until a little later, about the time we started mowing.
