Bit of history. New baby bermuda sod laid June 13th. Used starter fert rolled and watered. Then came the flood. Since then until today we have had almost 10 inches of rain with very little sun. In my opinion the sod was cut a little tall to begin with, about 2.5 inches. I suppose this is easier for the sod farm. It was good and green when delivered and laid completely within 5 hours of delivery. It set roots and greened up a bit more and grew to about 4-5 inches tall.

During a resonably dry day ( last Wed ) I cut it at 2 inches to clean it up and help greening.

With this type of bermuda I knew that would take a lot of the green and leave alot of brown. The brown areas are slowly starting to fill in. Although some of the stems are awful dry and crunchy. Stolons have a healthy green tint to them

Question is when it starts to dry up what would be the best way to treat the sod? Its definatley stressed from all the rain and lack of sunlight.

Should I let it dry for about a week and fertilize?

Did mowing it do any damage and how long should I wait to mow again? I was thinking toward the end of the week taking it down to one inch
