I just recently sodded my yard this past Friday, man was it hot. Ended up being the hottest day of the year so far, go figure. I put down Zeon Zoysia and it really looks nice. I wanted to see if anyone would comment on my watering schedule for the first two weeks. We are currently in a heat wave and will be for at least another week with temps topping 97 to 100. I put down 2000 square feet all in different sections. I have my watering system broken down to 8 zones with an average watering time each zone 15 to 20 minutes. The only exception to that is the largest zone in my front yard and I set it for 35 minutes. I am currently watering from 4am to 6am, 11am to 1pm, and 5pm to 7pm for the first two weeks. I was told my the place I got the sod that the zoysia and Bermudas are not susceptible to fungus from evening watering and with it is hot as it is it would be ok. Any comments on the watering schedule I have listed? Any other advice anyone may have to help me keep this sod alive? Thanks in advance.

We planted our sod around the same time 2 years ago. Just make sure it gets watered a lot. Have you gone out to see if you can lift the sod to see if has rooted. We live in Southern Calif and we have plenty of 100 plus days every year and if I do not water twice a day it will start to turn brown. I water at 8 am and 8 pm ,30 minutes each zone, Hope this helps. Jerry
