zoysia grass

We live half way between Las Cruces NM, and El Paso TX, we have been considering buying zoysia grass plugs thru the mail. However, after reading negative responses we are confused now. Our soil is very sandy, our water has alot of alkaline and chlorine. Everything that we plant dies because of the water. What type of grass do you suggest? We are at a complete loss, and the nurseries we have contacted don’t have any suggestions either. Please help us we are desperate at this point and don’t have the money to have a well dug. Anything would be helpful. Bonnie
