Thatching your lawn…

My lawn is now about three years old, and consists mainly of bluegrass sod. I’ve had excellent results with the grass, yet like everyone, I have my trouble spots. What don’t I want to do? Also, I’d want to re-seed, should I stick with bluegrass, or would some type of quick-germinating mix be more appropriate just to get coverage?
