Seville vs. Palmetto

Hello All,
I would really appreciate suggestions on the type of lawn to select since I’m right in the middle of preparations for resodding. I live in central Florida and am trying to decide whether to use Palmetto or Seville. I would appreciate any advise and pros/cons for each type.
Thank you,Jimmy

My neighbor has a very nice stand of Palmetto St. Augustine in pretty heavy shade. I’m going to plant plugs this Spring in my yard. For more info, look at sodsolutions.com

I would not rule out Delmar St. Augustine. It produces a much darker green color and performs much better in shade than the two grasses that you are considering. It also has specific a disease resistance that your choice do not have. Check it out at turfgrassamerica.com. Feel free to email me at
