Replacing Bermuda with Centepede

What is the best and most economical way to replace that ugly patchy bermuda that came with the house. The sod in the back is newly planted and not established. The front has large bare spots. Should I wait or can I seed now!!!

I dont know too much about Centepede, but I think that it might be getting a little late in the season for seeding as Centepede goes dormant in the winter?
