Palmetto grass

Hello,
I placed some palmetto grass in front of my house and I wanted to find out how to level this grass with the other grass that I have. The palmetto grass looks higher than the other grass.
How can I fix this issue?
thanks,

rcrane, ideally before the sod is placed, you would dig out a strip 4 to 6 inches wide along the edge where it will come against the existing grass. This bevels or tapers the elevation beneath the new sod to achieve a match on top with the old. If the new sod is not already rooted, it can be rolled back, and the beveling done after-the-fact. If, however, it is well rooted, the two surfaces will look closer over time, with the occasional action of mowing and water erosion. A little topdressing with sand on the low side may help bring things closer.
