What is this stuff?

Neighbor really cuts his St. Aug. short. As a result, he is getting these skinny looking weeds growing through. Some are starting to come up on my side. But for the most part, they don’t grow much past the border of my lot.

I cut my grass tall.

Your link isn’t working, but for most weeds, all you need to know is if it’s a broadleaf, grass, or sedge. If it’s a broadleaf weed, use a 2,4-D product. Use atrazine for both broadleaf and grass control. If all you have is grass, use fusilade with a sticker (soap). If it’s a sedge, use a product called Manage or Image if you’re a tightwad and don’t like fast results. If it is a weed that has seeds on the underside of it’s leaves, it’s chamber bitter, and good luck with that.

24d would be used in the midsouth and farther north, but not on st. augustine during warmer months. image is a nutsedge product that’s used in the deep south, but not up north. atrazine is never used in the midsouth to midwestern states and further north. we have to be very careful about using the correct product for the correct locale.

My apologies…fusilade is only for landscape beds and ornamental areas. Atrazine is used all over the country….on the label they say not to use it much in sandy soils, but that’s about the only restriction. Image will kill a variety of weeds, plus a few sedges, but works slowly.
