My husband and I laid 20 pallets of tifway bermuda, about 2 mths ago. Last week we noticed it was turning a brownish color, now it is more purple and look’s VERRY dead! I live in the Texas hill country and we have not had any rain. We have been watering about 3 times a week at night or early early morning. Dose anyone have a clue to what may be going on?

need to know more about amounts- generally you’re either watering too much or not enough!

when bermuda “blues out” it is becuase of water stress. with new sod, it should be watered twice per day for a few weeks. no need in watering deep, as there is only a 1/2 inch or so of roots. no need in wetting much deeper than that.
