Fusilade II

I moved last spring and the previous owners had mostly weeds and Centipede grass in the yard. I killed all the Centipede(which I consider a weed) and put down 13 pallets of Emerald Zoysia which I had at my old home. I have been infested with wild Bermuda grass and have just purchased some Fusilade II. Have any of you used the product? I have read that about eight drops per gallon of water is sufficient for home applications. I also use regular dish soap instead of purchasing the non-ionic surfactant. Just curious to see if this is enough product and to find out other folks results.
Thanks,Patrick

No advice here, but I’ll be interested to hear about your results.

1. Don’t believe everything you read. 2. Fusilade II is not labeled for use by homeowners on their lawn (i.e. it is illegal).
Now with that disclaimer:
3. Labeled rate to control grassy weeds on the 24.5% active ingredient version is 16-24 oz/100 gallons. This equates to about 96 drops per gallon to cover about 1,000 square feet. It also recommends 8-16 oz of surfactant.
4. If you do this, measure your yard and figure out how much you need. The 8 drops per gallon figure probably was something somebody posted to keep home owners from killing their yard.
5. Since you are a homeowner and not a licensed applicator I highly recommend that you mix 1/2 the above rate and SPOT spray the bermuda.
Best of luck to you.
