Companion Zoysia Seed

Has anyone had any experience with this seed variety? I am about to start a new yard and am leaning towards seed instead of plugs. I am a first-timer and could use some guidance. My yard’s base is sand and needs to be top-dressed.

zoysia grass seed is really slow growing and difficult to germinate- i would not try it
