better lawn in Dallas

I live in Dallas, and the builder said my lawn is a bahia mix. It turns brown in the winter and it looks terrible! Is there a different type of grass that will survive the summer but not turn brown in the winter? Thank you.

I was not aware that bahiagrass can even survive the winter in Dallas. Take a look at tall fescue.
