Any particular brand I should use?

Thanks,T.

Although not labeled, I was told it will work for Bermuda. The brand I bought was called “Atrazine 4L Herbicide” by Southern AG, although I imagine any brand will work. Bought it at a standard plant/fertilizer store. They also told me to be very careful of root line of trees/shrubs! I haven’t been able to try it yet, too darn hot in South Carolina!

Atrazine will turn bermuda yellow and may kill it. You can buy concentrated atrazine at Ace hardware, Wal-mart, Home Depot, etc. To use, simply follow directions on label. Alternatively you can buy a St Augustine weed and feed and fertilize the yard.
Now for the important question:
What type grass do you have in your lawn?

Does St. Augustine Weed & Feed kill Bermuda? Is there a specific brand you recommend? (I’ve used a S.A. weed and feed product, but it was not effective on the Bermuda growth…)

I used Southern Ag’s Atrazine formulation some time ago and was not blown away by the results. The bottle vehemently warned not to spray with a hose end sprayer b/c of the extremely sensitive dosing consequences.
Do y’all agree with this?

Yes, I agree. I was told to use a hand held pump sprayer and spot treat, being careful to avoid root lines of trees and shrubs.

FWIW, I use a combination of atrazine and Image on my Floratam St. Auggie lawn. I apply it with a hose-end sprayer over the entire yard. I have not had any ill effects wtih it with regards to my St. Auggie grass.

Atrazine will help control bermuda. You can get it at homedepot, walmart, etc.
You might have better luck CAREFULLY spot spraying the bermuda with roundup. Mix up a handheld spray bottle (like a windex bottle) full and Carefully try to spray just the bermuda.

Does this method as well as Atrazine work against bermuda grass invading my Zoysiagrass?

Atrazine will help control bermuda in zoysia. A better product to control bermuda in zoysia is fluazifop.
