I have been told that one shouldn’t treat sod for weeds until it is at least one year old. But I have also been told that I could treat it whenever. Which is true?

Zoysia in known to choke out weeds, but not all. I’m sodding my yard with EL-toro next week. When did you sod your yard. It’s best to Pre-emerge your yard in the spring and fall. If you already have some weeds, wait 6-8 weeks and lightly spray some 2,4-D.
