Has anyone grown Zenith Zosia from seed? Can you tell me about your experience and were you satisfied? Thanks.

I have tried the Scott’s brand Zenith Zoysia seed earlier this summer in a small experimental area in my lawn. It has come up fine but it does take a long time. About three weeks to show little sprigs and another month and a half to where you don’t have to water it everyday.

Hope this helps.

The patch I planted early in the summer has completely filled in. It is growing very thick and has above ground runners that is helping it to thicken up. I watered it every day for about a month and then every other day for a few weeks. Now I water it about once a week.

I am pleased with the results and am considering overseeding my very thin fescue with it. The problem would be controlling the weeds while not harming the seeds or sprouts. Any suggestions on this would be appreciated.

Keith
