Zoysia or Bermuda

My wife and I recently bought her granfathers house. My father in law has told me the yard is bermuda grass. Me being the no trusting soul that I am not sure the info and pics on the net are confusing the two types of grass seem to have similar characteristics. how can I be sure what I have in my yard?

Let some of it grow out for two/three weeks – uncut. Pick an area somewhere to observe. The growth pattern of bermuda will distinguish itself quickly. To my eye, nothing looks quite like the bermuda as it grows out – long, thin, upright stalks with delicate, hair-thin leaves in pairs on each side. I may not be able to describe it well, but it is unmistakeable. With zoysia, the grass blades just grow longer.
