yellowing

my grass needs help. it starts with yellowing in circels then truns to a dry straw like color i do see green runners deep but not much almost to the point of death.whats a fisherman to do??

First you gotta tell us where you live, what kind of grass it is, and a little site history. Sounds like a fungus from what you’ve posted so far.

i live in the panhandel of n/w florida the grass is a raleigh st augustine sodded in may 2004 its only happening now (the last few months)its taken over most of the yard.

it’s not near the point of death.sounds like you had fungus then it went dormant. depending upon where you are in the panhandle, you may be seeing alot of browning due to the recent cold snap. you’re just going dormant. locations nearer the coast haven’t seen as much cold weather browning. you’ll be ok

When the spring comes, you’ll probably see the fungus again. Try using a product called revere or something like that. There are Lesco stores in Mobile, Pensacola, and Ft.Walton. Go to www.lesco.com to find out where they are and the people there can take care of you.
I almost forgot Do Not over water. Floratan /Seville all strains of St. Augustine are suseptible to fungus from over…
