Ultra thick Seville in direct sun

Help. Unfortunately installed Pursley Seville 3 years ago in a full sun-lite front yard. Its not a dwarf in sun. Over past year or so, have been having problems with drought stress, then chinch bugs, now weeds, uneven color and super thick thatch (I think). Please advise – one lawn fertilizer service wants to aerate, another verticut, and another says just low cut/bag during fall season. Live in Merritt Island, Fl near the intercoastal, have very sandy soil. Thanks Lou

I’d have your local extension office come out and see the lawn. Then they can offer some good solid advice on what it might need.
Its an unbiased opinion since they have no real monetary gain based on their findings.
I almost forgot Do Not over water. Floratan /Seville all strains of St. Augustine are suseptible to fungus from over…
