time to lay sod?

On average how long would it take to lay down 8 pallets of of sod? its 2400 sq feet.

There are really too many variables to consider. Such as wieght of the pieces: Bluegrass in summer will wiegh a ton verses bentgrass that has been washed (the soil washed away. Also, how much cutting and edging has to be done? Skill level of the layers, soil preparation, proximity of the pallets to the laying areas, quality of the sod……. all effect speed of laying sod.

Many years ago I tried laying 1000 sq.ft. myself with no cutting just laying out on a prepared tee. It took me 45 minutes. I was also in my 30’s.

Best bet is to try it and time yourself.
