Strange Grass

I put in a new lawn last September. We had hurricanes, and washouts. I fixed the washouts, but with a different grass blend, (Though the bags listed the same types and amounts of seed). Now, we have this thicker bladed grass where the washouts were. It doesn’t have an extremely deep root, and it grows really fast. It isn’t crabgrass, and I have applied weed and feed and it only got greener. Does anyone know what it is, and any good ideas on how to get rid of it so I can allow the more desired grass that matches the rest of my lawn that is growing underneath to thrive. (I had thought it might be wheat shafts growing from the straw, but it is apparent that it is not.)
