St. Augustine with Bermuda

My lawn is St.Augustine however there is some bermuda mixed in. I do not want the bermuda. Any suggestions on how to rid my lawn of any bermuda. Will the bermuda take over the St. Augustine or will the the St. Augustine take over the Bermuda?

In any kind of shade, St Augustine will take over bermuda. You can make your own shade easily enough by setting your mower to the highest setting. That should shade the bermuda enough that it goes away. It might take a season or two, but it should work.
