Sanding Bermuda

Is either river sand or mason’s sand acceptable for sanding bermuda. I have heard benefits of both. River sand is richer but mason sand is weedfree. Both I assume lack any nutritional value but are more use for leveling and topdressing. Are my assumptions correct? Thanks in advance

Both will work but I would recomend using washed sand. This is what we use on golf courses.

Is September/October too late to add yellow lawn sand for leveling a St. Augustine lawn?I’ve been resodding and need to fill in spaces where sod squares had very little dirt attached and generally raise up some low spots. Thanks.

Go ahead and do it. half inch at the most if you want to keep them alive.
What exactly is washed sand? I was told to get ‘rough’ sand, not smooth sand (like those smooth river rocks) because they will settle better and keep in place.
I almost forgot Do Not over water. Floratan /Seville all strains of St. Augustine are suseptible to fungus from over…
