riviera hydromulch

Just hydromulched my new lawn w/ Riviera Bermudagrass seed on 7/07/03. I have been watering as recommended but I have developed a green fungus on the dirt. Is this normal? Will it be OK?. I live outside of D/FW. It’s getting pretty hot here now. Full sun. Would like to hear from anyone with Riviera experience.

What was recommended for watering?
What is the status of the seed? Any sprouts yet? About how much coverage and how tall?

I was told light but frequent watering so as to keep it from drying out. Been watering at 5:30am, 1:00pm, 6:00pm, 15 minutes per zone, using Hunter PGP heads w/ #9 nozzles. Think I see a few shoots poking through. They say to allow 10-14 days germination time.

I’m thinking the mold is being helped along by the evening watering. Would it still work if you watered at 4:30, noon, and 4:00?
After you get grass growing, eventually you want to work your way down to watering no more often than weekly with 10 to 14 day intervals preferred. The reason for this is to develop a deep root and soil structure that will give you lots of drought tolerance. A lawn that gets daily watering becomes addicted to daily watering.

Thanks for the info. I’ll give that schedule a try. The grass is really starting to sprout out this afternoon. What a difference a day makes.
