reseeeding fescue

My lawn had large patches of fescue that appeared last summer. I sprayed Roundup on the afffected areas, and that work great to kill it off. Do I need to remove the dead fescue from the areas before reseeding in the spring? Or can I just put the seed in the areas with the dead fescue? Thanks.

what kind of lawn did you have to begin with?

absolutely, put it down! roundup isnt an agent that sterilizes the soil or act as a pre-emergent. it only acts as a clearing agent. re-seed as needed. also, put an innoculant to insure the health of the soil.
