Hello…First time poster long time reader. We are trying to start a new yard in middle tennessee. The soil is very hard red clay. We are using a grass seed made for the southeast united states. We have also tried the started fertilizer and laid composted manure on the yard but we still can not get grass to grow. We water the yard everyday. Can anyone help? I feel like we have tried everything short of bringing new dirt and starting over.
Thanks

You should probably rototill in lots of organic material to the soil…..not just manure, but composted forest and/or peat moss type products. You also do not need to water every day! That alone will kill the lawn!
