installed new sod it started turning yellow within twenty four hours. not all the blades but should I do anything? less water, more water, did I use too much starter fertilizer? help

Are the areas that are yellow in good contact with the soil?
You really don’t need starter fertilizer when laying sod…but if you applied it according to the recommended rate, it shouldn’t be a problem.
And watering sod a lot is good for it…twice a day until it establishes.
So, my guess is that it’s not in contact with the soil.
