my yard is nothing but weeds and i want to just wipe all the weeds and start over… what tools can i rent or what chemicals can i use to totally kill all weeds so i can till my yard for new grass? I live in memphis,Tn and how do I test my soil.

contact your local county extension for the soil testing bags and get your self a hand held core plug remover. If you are planning on establishing cool season turf now is not the time.

If you have a Lesco service center in the area, they should be able to help you out. They sell a product called Momentum FX2 that is great for killing off broadleaf weeds and they do soil tests too. Millenium Ultra is another version of Momentum FX2. Both are great products.
