In the last two weeks, small round patches of dead grass have started cropping up in the yard. We water a couple times a week, used Vigaro about about a month ago. Don’t know what kind of grass I have. Anybody in the Springs area have any ideas?

Go to the edge of your dying spots. Where the brown meets green. Dig around in that transition zones thatchy area and look for worm activity. The worms you are lookinf or will be a white grub looking thing. If theses are present, this is your problem. If no wrms or other insects are present I would suspect a fungus. Both problems require application of a control agent. Contact a turf profesional if you are not comfortable in the application of these agents. If water and Fertilizer have not helped….I will gauranty other acivity.
