Behind my house I have wetlands of sort. Tall Pines with Red Maples and a few oaks. Sun does get 30 or so feet back but I would say 50/50. Ferns grow wild along with vines and other “wetland plant life” I have a 10/20 foot area straight back I would like to throw wild flower seed and some grass seed. What kind of grass would do well in 50/50 light, wet/moist area? North Florida “Jacksonville”

It it wet because of a high water table or because of poor drainage?
Poor drainage can be improved by deep watering and deep rooted grass. St Augustine is the only grass I know of that tolerates lots of shade. Mine grows in about 90% year round shade in the front and 90% summer shade in the back.
I almost forgot Do Not over water. Floratan /Seville all strains of St. Augustine are suseptible to fungus from over…
I am from the north and it has taken me five yrs to learn and undertand seville lawns. No 1…
