Moles/grubs/bugs/hurricanes destroyed my yard

First time poster, great website.History of my yard:I live beachside in central florida with St Auggy in the front and “beach grass” in the back yard. Well water sprinkler system throughout the entire yard.==========================================Problem: When I first moved in the yard was OK, the St. Auggy looked fair but the nieghbors said the previous owners had all kinds of problems with chinch bugs and dolloar weed. I also have problems with dollar weed and chich bugs. I attacked them with Atrize and some type of chinch bug pesticide. Next came the Moles, they have been tunnelling all across my front yard. After getting hit by 2 hurricanes I let my yard go, I had more important home problems to deal with. Now my front yard is horrible, the St. Auggy is all but dead, hanging on to some patches here and there. The moles are very active and the dollar weed is healthy in parts of the yard. I am tempted to start fresh rather than nurse it back to health. I am only concerned about the front yard which is not huge. I need advice on starting over or fighting to save what is there. I tried mole pellets but they did not seem to work. If I start fresh (new sod) I guess I must still kill the moles/grubs/bugs and till the entire yard removing all weeds? I am not sure which direction to go..Oh yea, I have not watered in months (pump damaged during Frances). The sprinkler pump will be fixed before beginning the yard restoration.
