Looking for Sod supplier Marietta GA, (N Atlanta)

Can anyone recommend any good sod suppliers in Marietta, GA (just north west of Atlanta).
Will probably go with centipede since I want something of low maintenance and dense to keep out weeds.
thanks

Try John Boudrot of Southern Sod Sales, 770-925-7790. His company is geared up mostly for larger projects, so depending on the size of your project or whether you plan to do your own installation, he may refer you elsewhere. He will probably try to steer you away from Centipede, by the way.

Thanks for the reply. Re centipede, is it not a good choice for sod in Atlanta? I need sod that does not need the enormous amounts of time and care that Bermuda needs, will resist weeds and grow in sun and partial shade. Centipede seemed to have all these characteristics. But I would very much welcome your opinions on centipede and perhaps alternatives.
thanksmike

try Davin Youngblood at 770-596-5699. His centipede delivered is $110 per pallet. They also do really good and affordable installations.

My advice for people shopping around for sod is not to assume the cheapest sod is the best deal, because sometimes we get what we pay for–dried out sod that crumbles in your hand and has a thin layer of soil cut into small squares. When shopping around for sod make sure you ask what their return policy is.– If they are not willing to give you at least 30 days replacement policy then that should raise a red flag in your mind. As a result of this dry crumbly sod, the amount of labor of sod laying it is doubled due to you or the installer trying to piece together all of the broken pieces, which mean the labor rates increase if you hire someone to lay it. If you are laying the sod yourself it will double your labor. And to top off the problem ,these thin square peaces will end up drying out and dying; therefore, you invested a lot of money on the cost of sod for it to end up dying. How do I know this?- Because I learned this the hard way from buying from a particular sod supplier/broker located in Marietta. In addition, make sure you ask if their delivery person is willing to work with you and place the pallets of sod where you want. We requested for the pallets of sod to be placed on the side of the house next to the back gate for easy access since the sod was being installed in the back. As a result, the completed ignored this request and parked 10 pallets a block down the street. As a result, the installation costs were $500 above budget since they had to haul the sod triple the distance.
I would recommend Curb Appeal Landscaping and Lawncare at this link:http://atlanta.ebayclassifieds.com/skilled-trades/atlanta/curb-appeal-landscaping-and-lawncare-sod-installation-770-891-2245/?ad=3132952 or http://atlantacurbappeallandscaping.wordpress.com/sod-installation-beforeafter-pictures/ –Their phone number is 770-891-2245. They are independent sod installers (not supplier) that are knowledgeable and objective when sourcing sod. Their sod are thick and lush rolls with a thick layer of dirt, which is unlikely to die. They fixed my problems for the previous installation and was there for us to make sure it established their roots.
