Just moved to Georgia
Mike in Rincon, Georgia – posted 29 May 2007 17:54
Hello everyone. I just recently moved from Michigan where I had Kentucky Bluegrass to Rincon, Georgia (Savannah area)
I do not know what type of grass I should try and plant as I am not too familiar with the type for my area but I have been doing research and it seems either Bermuda or St. Augustine might be the way to go. my yard is not the best looking grass and I am used to starting from scratch. I plan on rototillering the whole front and half the back yards. My budget will be as tight as possible and I would like your opinions as to what I should do.
Can we post pics on the boards? if so, I’ll take a couple of pics for you.
Also, I just cut down 21 yellow pine trees in my back yard because I found out I am allergic to yellow pine pollen. I planted a couple of pear trees, a red oak, some bamboo and a couple of ficus trees but as far as the back yard goes, I still have to have all the stumps ground out and then I can level out my back yard.
thanks everyone in advance!!!
