issues with champion greens

we’re having dark circles appear on our putting green. they start off small (about the size of a dime) then they get almost football sized. the soil under these spots is just as wet as the soil in the healthy areas. the dark spots dont seem to have any different feeling as the healthier turf either. the superintendent and i have over 30 years combined in the industry and we’ve never seen anything like it. ANY help would be appreciated. thanks

With out pictures it is hard to tell what it is. Even with them it might still be hard. I would strongly recommended looking at this site, and consider sending in a sample to get tested. The information provided to you will be invaluable.

Read over the links they have there and see if that is something you and your superintendent might consider.
I have personally been to this facility and they know what they are doing.
Hope that helps. Let me know what it is if you find it.TurfGuy
