Flowable pre emergent

I have 419 bermuda and have been using Dimension as a pre emergent for a few years. I am less then pleased with the control I have with the application as we have beds throughout and I either miss some of the turf or render a bed not exactly well prepared for spring seeds. Thinking a flowable pre emergent would nicely solve the problem but I am not aware of a good one.

Looking for suggestions and experience others may have had.

Is the problem with the Dimension or applications? If the Dimension is working; it is available in a flowable. If you are using a granular Dimension, try plastic over the beds to stop the granules from landing in the bed.

Am I on the right track?

the problem is the homeowner version of dimension, it’s just not strong enough…remember it’s not going to control dallisgrass, etc. only a few weeds including crabgrass, and then all pre-ems break down in the heat…

Not a problem with Dimension, it’s the granules. But, after looking beyond my local LESCO I managed to locate some Dimension Ultra WSP. Sounds like that is just what I need. Kind of pricey, but looks like the answer.

Thanks for the help. My local guys never mentioned the product to me.

some lesco’s can be a little loose on the rules, but i’m sure you’ll need a license to purchase this product. i always used it liquid not wsp.

The WSP requires A LOT of mechanical or hydraulic agitation when spaying and is strictly a PRO porduct. Use the liquid if you can get it. More user friendly.

Both will work well for you and have pre- post advantages.

cohiba is correct. i used a liquid (EC) formula. but i’m assuming this is all academic because he doesn’t have a license? by the way there’s a fish called a cobia- no relation?

Ted,If the fish is a small wimpy one- no way. If its a big, tough, mean son-of-a-gun: its probably a cousin. Cohiba is actually my favorite cigar brand. By the way, I’ve been told the granular Dimension stinks, so we use Ronstar G. Have you ever found this to be true?
