Burned u fescue

I used a drop spreader a few weeks ago on my back yard (fescue) that apparantly was broken and now I have big burned spots in the fescue. Is there anything that can be done to salvage this summer or should i just wait and reseed and aerate in the fall? I live 40 miles North of Atlanta GA.
