HELP! I have spent the last week searching for Emerald Zoysia in California. Can anyone help me find some sod?

You may never find Emerald out here! Its an older variety, and most sod farms have gone to newer improved types. Where are you in Cal? West coast turf farms (in palm desert)has several strains of Zoysia……even one that can be cut at 5/32 for putting greens. They also have ‘De Anza’ Zoysia…..which is similar to Emerald in appearance.

I was going to have someone drive it out from TX for me. I called West Coast and simply got a sales pitch more than the information I wanted. Would you be able to tell me a little more about the De Anza? Thanks

There’s a lot of info on their web site! Go to the ‘turf pro’s’ section- and not the homeowner section.
