What is recommended for the Bay Area? East Bay specifically. I have some crappy lawn in our backyard for a house we just bought. Tons and tons of weeks throughout, plus mint plants! I’d like to re-sod for under the playset we’ll be putting down. Half the lawn is really shaded, the other half gets sun. I prefer softer types of grass opposed to stiff grass.
