what is the best method for getting rid of dead burmuda grass so the new burmuda can come in correctly.

Why do you think the grass is dead? If so, just rake it up and when it’s time to fertilize just let the grass do it thing.

bag it with a mower. Cut it low and be prepared to bag alot of turf. this will also help with green up, and turf density.

it’s not dead it’s just dormant- it’ll green up. it’s time to fertilize it now heavily- i take it you’re in alabama?
