Do any of you turf scientists know why the De Anza used for the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team was removed and eventually replaced with BullsEye burmuda? Was it for lack of color or some other reason? My apologies if this has already been covered.

I’ve wondered the same thing. I purchased a book last year called “picture perfect” which goes into detail how to create unique designs by rolling lines into the turf. At the time the book was written the AZ Snakes used zoysia.
I would be curious to know if anyone knows a source of info that would tell what type of turf is used in major ballparks across the county. Seems like most of the ballparks in the book used varieties of Bermuda.
