Crowne Zoysia

I have had a large portion of my backyard grass(st. augustine) here in Northwest Louisiana die away. It was in pretty good shape when we moved in 3 yrs ago. I think it has been several factors. Kids playing on it not enough watering shady and last the dirt is clay. When it rains my yard holds the water like a lake. I was thinking of tilling and laying a 2 in layer of good soil and sod new grass. A local sod company is talking about this new crowne zoysia. Said it was more resilient to all of the above factors.

My question is: do you know much about the Crowne Zoysia? Overall is it a more forgiving grass with even less maintenance? Does it hold up to the traffic and lower sun and water than the st augustine?
Thanks
