Can Car Gas kill Bermuda Gass

My husband spilled some gas on our Bermuda Sod and the spot turn brown. What should I do. Please HELP

dig it out, and reseed or resod.

our golf course spilled gas from a tractor….they did not clean it up. It is some type of tif bermuda. It took about 6 months for it to repair itself. The grass died and then regrew from the sides as the area was washed clean by rain.
I would dig it out and resod.
