Crabgrass, Help me
Cannuk – posted 19 July 2006 16:01
I have ended up with a pretty ugly lawn this year, a 12′ by 12′ section is all crabgrass and patches here and there, help me please. Where do I begin? It’s late July mid 30’s out, it’s out of control

Use a selective herbicide on it such as Trimecor super trimec if you are treating in a desireable turf area. Control may be slow due to your temps. are you saying you are having temps in the 30’s?

Yes, the temps. around here over the last little while have been in the mid 30 degree celcius to 35 or so with a lot of humidity. Thanks, and I’ll pick up some of the Trimec you mentioned.

He thought you were having freezing temperatures. Who uses Celsius fortemperature? You’re temps are actually in the range 86-95F.

you are right, I did think he was speaking of freezing temps, Be careful with the trimec in those temps, maybe use half rates or check out another product made by PBI gordon called speed zone southern.
