How do I get rid of clover in by lawn?
We have approximately 2 acres of grass and the clover is expanding rapidly.

Dan,I’m in Kentucky, and fighting the same problem. I’ve read that they are now finding clover is a sign of good soil, but I don’t want it! My fescue is not choking it out. Let me know if you find something that works?

I’ve had good luck with Ortho’s Weed B Gon. I had quite a bit of clover in my zoysia but didn’t think too much about it thinking the zoysia would choke it out in time. I was wrong. The clover just got thicker and spread.
I applied two doses of the weed killer about 1 1/2 weeks apart and that seemed to do the trick.

Any product containing 2,4-D and/or dicamba should do the job. These compounds kill broadleaf weeds but not grasses. These are usually the active ingredients in the weed & feed products, but can also be applied as liquid sprays. Be careful with 2,4-D if you spray it. It has a nasty habit of drifting onto shrubs and flowers and doing damage.

If you got white clover check your fertility program. White clover is an indicator of low Nitrogen. If you get your turf dense than you should choke out weeds.
Take a soil sample and see what is going on in the soil.

The clover in my lawn is very expansive. If I kill it all at once, I won’t have any grass. Secondly, I don’t want to kill it with chemical because I have pets who play outside. Any suggestions on a gradual and natural way?

easy- kill it out with roundup before seeding in the fall- roundup’s ingredient is glyphosphate. it’s used as a municipal water stabilizer in many locales, believe it or not.
