i live in birmingham, alabama and have meyers z-52. i have scattered areas of a dense, white, substance that has the consistency of cheese(i didnt eat any)-is it a mold? i have applied 2 preventive treatments with a fungicide to no avail. any help with what it is, its treatment and any advice on the matter is appreciated.

It’s been long enough now that if you still have the fungus, you might have a shot at getting rid of it with corn meal. Corn meal is a universal organic garden fungus killer. Apply over your entire yard at 20 pounds per 1,000 square feet for established fungus problems. As a preventative you can apply at 10 pounds per 1,000 square feet.

This is the same corn meal as you get at grocery stores. If you want to do an entire lawn with it, save yourself a ton of money and get it at the feed store in 50 pound bags.
