I was resolved to go with Zyosia; that is until I read several threads on this forum.
Here’s my situation. I live in the East County of San Diego. Temperatures are warm (90’s – 100) in the summer and moderate (40 degrees early in the morning) in the winter. I just had a swimming pool installed and I’m looking to do some landscaping around the pool.
I really don’t want to go with artificial stuff because I like real grass. The question is which real grass? As I mentioned, I was (still am) tempted to go with Zoysia because I understand that it is extremely drought resistant and hardy. That being said, it appears from a number of the threads that I have read that it is also very fickle.
So….given my climate, which grass do you all recommend?

is their any type of formula that you can us to help your grass grow faster and make it more healthier for golf corses

You might consider Seashore Paspalum. It’s fairly drought resistant and salt tolerant plus it’s got a nice fine texture. Am-Sod (American Sod Farms) grows SeaDwarf Seashore Paspalum near you in Escondido.

Get the zoysia. It is low maintenance and sinks deep roots. Many people dislike zoysia because it grows slow and the old varieties were prickly. Zoysia is generally weed free and spot spraying of weeds is easy and successful.
